Although I am American, I have spent most of my life in Germany; as a result I speak both English and German fluently. After completing my education I became involved in my family’s automobile business, which was the world’s largest Agency representing the BMW and MINI US Military Sales Programs.
During twenty years spent serving US DOD members in the premium automobile market here in Germany, I was able to acquire an invaluable insight into the very unique dynamics associated with US DOD personnel arriving in a totally new environment and having to seek both accommodation and often a new automobile at the start of their tour in Europe.
This special insight into the needs of DOD members enables me to quickly identify their requirements and offer a range of properties (apartments or homes) either to rent or buy, that will match those requirements.
My philosophy is to treat my clients the way I myself would like to be treated. As a result, a large part of my business comes from referrals. My network of connections helps me to offer additional assistance to my clients, such as completing necessary German registrations on the local economy, starting new telephone accounts and even assistance when buying an automobile. All these things can be complicated and time consuming for a newcomer arriving in Germany for the first time.
During my time in the automobile business, I was able to form very close ties with the local US Military Community, especially in supporting local community activities. As an acknowledgment of this commitment I received the title – “Honorary First Sergeant” of the Kaiserslautern First Sergeant’s Association, a distinction for which I am truly proud.
